Launch of the Local Business Charity Awards (Gloucestershire)

The Local Business Charity Awards are back for their sixth year in the county. The awards celebrate the support given by Gloucestershire businesses and individuals to local charities.

There are three award categories charities can enter:

The Jelf Award

Entries can be made by Gloucestershire charities (with an annual income of more than £200,000 a year) nominating a Gloucestershire business that supports them. If the company nominated wins, the charity will receive a prize of £1,000.

The Ageas Award

Entries can be made by Gloucestershire charities (with an annual income of less than £200,000 a year) nominating a Gloucestershire business that supports them. If the company nominated wins, the charity will receive a prize of £1,000.

The Individual Award

Entries will be accepted from any Gloucestershire charity, nominating a person for their personal dedication and contribution to that charity. The prize is a £300 weekend away.

Entry criteria

If you work closely with a charity, why not let them know about the awards? By submitting their nomination, they’ll explain why your relationship with them is special and deserving of an award.

As part of their nomination they will talk about:

  • How much of an effect your involvement has had on their charity
  • The quality of the relationship between you and them
  • How creative you’ve been in supporting them
  • Why it’s important to them to maintain the relationship.

How to enter

The awards are now open for entries; entry to the awards is free and the closing date is Friday 12 July 2019 with the awards finals on Thursday 19 September 2019.
